Objective of the Workshop

  • This workshop provides a platform for sharing experience, knowledge, successes, and challenges in the development of renewable energy, in particular offshore wind energy for coastal countries like Vietnam, as part of the Energy Transition process. The main types of renewable energy that will be addressed in this workshop are:
    • Offshore Wind Energy: Abstracts related to the topics of offshore wind energy development policy, strategy, planning, and case studies of offshore wind farm construction, with an emphasis on subsurface investigation technology disciplines in the development of offshore wind farms including data acquisition and processing approaches for wind farm site and geo-hazard mapping are invited.
    • Subsurface CO2 and Energy Storage: Abstracts on Geological storage of CO2 and hydrogen energy are invited. Energy storage plays an important role to integrate renewable energy into the energy structure because it compensates the fluctuation of renewable energies.
