WELCOME

The 6th Asia Pacific Meeting on Near Surface Geoscience and Engineering Conference & Exhibition will be held in Tsukuba, Japan from 13-15 May 2024. This conference incorporates the 15th SEGJ International Symposium. You are cordially invited to attend. The theme of the conference is: "Smart Technologies Kind to the Planet". The conference explores the latest technological advancements to investigate our planet Earth and beyond, for mineral resources, infrastructure development, transition from conventional to renewable energy resources, the changing environment of human habitat, and more.

Our keynote presentations include the achievement of the Hayabusa mission which recovered surface samples from the asteroid Ryugu; discovery of previously unknown chamber of Egyptian pyramid with cosmic ray technology; geophysical contribution to offshore wind farms and humanitarian aids by geoscientists. The technical sessions will present the latest advancements in earth sciences and engineering by the academia, government and industry.  In addition, many world experts are invited to introduce their most recent development in their respective fields and further discussion will follow.

Tsukuba is Japan’s scientific hub conveniently located in about one hour both from Tokyo city and Narita International Airport.  May is the best season in Tsukuba with fine days and temperature in low twenties in Celsius. We wish this conference would provide a stage towards a sustainable and greener future for next generation. We look forward to welcoming you to Tsukuba and enjoying learning the latest technology together.
