Description:

This workshop will bring together key academic and industrial competencies for processing and interpretation of marine CSEM data.

There will be a focus on how uncertainties in inversion results can be handled in exploration workflows to give robust input to geological risking and drilling decisions. 

The sessions will discuss:

• Acquisition technology and its impact on inversion reliability
• Imaging and inversion technology
• Interpretation methodologies
• Integration with seismic and petrophysics
• Practical experiences on how to utilize CSEM data in exploration

Workshop format:

One-day workshop including both specifically invited presentations and contributions from open call for abstracts. Organized panel discussions for the keynotes and moderated Q&A will be set up to promote an interactive format.

Who should attend:

The workshop will span topics that will be of interest to experienced CSEM practitioners, both from industry and academia, as well as people without a background in CSEM but with an interest in how the technology can be applied. Workshop participants will get a broad overview of how CSEM is currently utilized in the industry, and the main difficulties that must be addressed to successfully apply the technology.
