Description:

Mineral exploration industry is facing the ever-increasing demand of exploring tier 1-2 deposits specially addressing the so-called critical raw materials for green-type technologies and improved economic growth in a strong push towards decarbonization. This has led to a number of great research and development initiatives such as the H2020-funded Smart Exploration-Europe, MERC-Canada and MinEx CRC-Australia among others including those being developed exclusively by major mineral exploration companies.

This workshop will cover both new prototypes and algorithms developed to address deep exploration on land and sea. The focus will be on successful case studies covering greenfield, brownfield and in-mine exploration utilizing new sensor technologies, UAVs, distributed sensors, sensitive 2D and 3D imaging and modelling algorithms as well as effective data acquisition methods.

A mixture of speakers from mineral exploration industry, service companies and academia as well as high-tech industry will present their state-of-the-art development work in this workshop. Participants will have a chance to discuss current and future demands and explore opportunities for joint commercial and research projects.
