Guidelines for Online Participants

The workshop will be held fully online in our virtual portal. This portal will be open to all presenters and registered attendees one day before the event. Please read the information below carefully! 

We will make all video presentations available one week prior to the workshop (from 15 October) to all registered participants to view only, and these will be removed after the workshop. The videos will be available on a separate platform from the workshop online portal and a link to access these videos will be shared only with registered delegates. In total there are 15 oral presentation videos (each approx. 15 min. long) to be viewed prior to the workshop.

1. General Info

1.1 LOG IN TO ONLINE PORTAL

To log in to the online portal to see the workshop timeline, you will need to use your email address (username) and Pin code. These details will be provided to all registered participants one day prior to the start of the workshop.

1.2 REFRESH BROWSER

If you cannot see the session anymore or if you are having challenges with your audio, please refresh your browser or try to sign out, and to sign back in. 


2. Prior to the workshop (from 15 October)

Start watching all video presentations that are now available to all registered participants to view only. These will be removed after the workshop. 

The videos are available on a separate platform from the online workshop portal and a link to access these videos has been shared only with registered delegates. 

There are in total 15 oral presentation videos (each approx. 15 min long) to be viewed prior to the workshop.

Important To Do:

  • Watch the video presentations you are interested in;
  • Create a document with questions you want to ask each presenter during the workshop;
  • During the Live Online Workshop, send your questions in writing to the session chairs (start with your name + affiliation for each questions, or send them anonymously); 
  • The prepared document with questions will facilitate your task as a participant to copy and paste your questions into the " " bubble after you have joined the session.

3. Live online workshop (22 October)

3.1 ORAL SESSIONS
Each oral session will have 5 presentations, the titles of which can be seen by expanding the Session Information box once you have joined a session. 

Each presenter will give a 10 min. highlight talk about their presentation, followed by 5 min. Q&A. 

Questions can be submitted in the Live Q&A window (the " " bubble), and the session chair will put them through to the presenter to answer. Attendees are muted during the sessions but can submit questions in writing and virtually raise their hand during Q&A, if the presenter has remaining time for additional questions. 

Important:

  • Have your document with questions and programme with you;
  • Ask your prepared questions in writing in the " " bubble;
  • To ask a question, please type first your name and affiliation. 
  • If your question could not be answered live, you can reach out to the presenter in the "Meeting Hub" and ask your unanswered questions directly.
