EAGE Asia Pacific Virtual Geoscience Week

19 - 23 April 2021 | Online

Welcome

The geology of South East Asia is highly complex due to combinations of regional tectonics, large structuring events and diverse depositional systems. After over 100 years of exploration and exploitation in the region, hydrocarbons are becoming more difficult to find and exploit, and many frontier areas are yet to be explored.  New advances in technology and methodology offer improved subsurface characterization, leading to greater prospectivity beyond the wellbore. Such is the demand for better and more accurate understanding of basin characteristics and reservoir behavior that pre-drilled reservoir and hydrocarbon prediction techniques are more important today then ever. EAGE Asia Pacific Virtual Geoscience Week aims to gather Petroleum Geoscience experts from across Asia Pacific to share and discuss their ideas and experiences of the latest methods and technologies, thereby promoting scientific advancement in this exciting field. The workshop will be virtual – and therefore accessible from anywhere in the World – from 19th to 23rd April 2021.
