First EAGE Conference on Energy Opportunities in the Caribbean

Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago

6 - 8 November 2024

The First EAGE Conference Caribbean Energy Opportunities Conference explores important aspects of the region's energy landscape. This event focuses on Exploration and Production (E&P), particularly, it addresses the prospectivity in complex geological settings, exploration in frontier areas, and the E&P history of the Caribbean and Guyana-Suriname Basin.

The geology and tectonics of the Caribbean and Guyana-Suriname Basin are complex, and therefore, continue to be relevant topics for discussion: from exploration in foreland basins, carbonate reservoirs, and hydrocarbon-prolific turbidite deposits.

Basin analysis of the Caribbean and the Guyana-Suriname Basin are front and center for this event in which basin modeling, source to sink, and geochemical studies will delve into the petroleum system modeling of Caribbean and northern South Atlantic basins and Cretaceous-Cenozoic source rocks.

This conference will also discuss the role the Energy Transition plays in the Caribbean and Guyana-Suriname Basin, highlighting synergies and the potential of geothermal energy. This event serves as a comprehensive platform for discussing the region’s energy opportunities and fostering meaningful dialogue on the Caribbean’s energy future”.
