How to record your video presentation? Watch this video for instructions
The above software is an open source recommendation, you can however use any recording platform that you are familiar or comfortable with.
It is strongly recommended to rehearse your presentation before recording, and review the recorded video before submitting it. Once submitted, the video cannot be changed.
When confirming your presentation you will be asked to grant certain permissions to the organizers:
Question 1: Do you agree to your presentation being included in a livestream of the event?
Question 2: Do you agree to your presentation being recorded and shared with participants after the event?
The e-posters will be available in our virtual portal. This portal will be open to all presenters and registered attendees at least one week before the event.
All presenters will receive login details to the portal to attend the full workshop, as well as an invitation to join their specific session as a presenter. Please read the instructions in these messages carefully!
Make sure to join your e-poster session 15 min before it starts. You will be asked to "welcome" virtual attendees to your poster while they wait in the "virtual queue". After accepting your attendees, you will be able to engage them via your webcam if available, or by sharing your screen and displaying your presentation.
Keep in mind that attendees have already had a chance to view your presentation so take this opportunity to go into detail, rather than repeating your powerpoint from start to finish.
There will be two poster sessions, which will both be held twice:
Each session runs for 45 mins and you are expected to be present to talk to participants. There will not be individual time slots for the poster presentations, but rather delegates will be encouraged to engage with as many posters as they wish. You can take short breaks when you do not have anyone waiting in the "virtual queue" for your poster.
The virtual presentations will be broadcast in the meeting room and in our virtual portal. This portal will be open to all presenters and registered attendees at least one week before the event.
All presenters will receive login details to the portal to attend the full conference, as well as an invitation to join their specific session as a presenter. Make sure to download the GoToWebinar desktop app as soon as you receive the first "panelist invitation" to be able to present during your live Q&A session. Please read the instructions in these messages carefully!
Make sure to join the session you will present in 15 min before it starts to familiarize yourself with the online system. Your pre-recorded video will be streamed, followed by 15 min joint live Q&A. The session chair will put questions to you submitted by the audience.
