First EAGE Conference on Seismic Inversion

26-29 October 2020 |  Online Event

Panel Discussion:

Barriers to Industry Adoption of Seismic Inversion:

Value, Integration and Communication

Hosted by: Øyvind Kjosnes (Aker bp) and Tanya Colwell (CGG)

Wednesday 28 October 2020 at 15:30 CET (UTC+1)

During this live discussion we will provide the audience with access to a panel consisting of industry experts, knowledgeable and skilled in the art of seismic inversion. Our conversation will cover the following aspect:

  • A brief history of seismic inversion
  • The financial benefits gained by seismic inversion
  • A status quo of the industry: current trends and publications
  • The barriers to its industry acceptance
  • A touch upon practical aspects of seismic inversions
  • What we can expect in the future, emerging, complementing and competing technologies

The audience will be engaged with thought-provoking questions, answers and live polls.
