Conference Evening

The conference evening gives the attendees the chance to unwind, enjoy good company. We will return to the outstanding Natural History Museum, entrance is included in the full delegate fee and family members registration.

We would like to welcome you to the London 2019 Conference Evening which will be held at The Natural History Museum at South Kensington. A unique setting, home to life and earth science specimens comprising millions of items within five main collections: Botany, Entomology, Mineralogy, Palaeontology and Zoology.

It will be a night loaded with opportunities to explore the entire museum, network and enjoy various kinds of food, drinks and entertainment.

Food & Beverages 

19:00 - 22:00 

A buffet with a wide variety of foods, live cooking, barbeque, wines, bottled beers, soft drinks and dessert bites will be served from different food stations and bars across the different areas of the museum. Bowl foods in addition will also be circulated in areas of the museum. Ensure to discover different delicacies in different areas.

Entertainment

19:00 - 23:30 

The evening is sure to be marked by interesting entertainment at different locations. Dance the night away at the Hintze hall with our Live music, enjoy and dance to unforgettable streams from DJ Max in the Earth Hall, easy listening music by Pianist Michael in T Rex grill, classical music performed over a String trio in the Jerwood gallery. 

EAGE also invites you to Rock at the Annual Conference Evening. Participants with musical skills are invited to play along at a Jam Session that will take place from 20:00 till 22:00 at the Atrium in the National History Museum.

If you’re this awesome drummer, virtuous (bas) guitar player, a trumpet master or breathtaking vocalist that only went for a career in Geoscience because it paid better, please join us and show off your musical skills!

There will be house band and some spare instruments ready for playing, but it is also possible to bring along your own instrument. Alternatively, if you contact us, we may be able to arrange for certain instruments on site.

Public Transportation 

The Museum has two entrances, accessible by underground. Take the Piccadilly, Circle or District line to South Kensington station, which is within walking distance of the venue’s entrances. For last departures, please refer to the “Transport for London” website for the most up-to-date schedule..
