Liberia is the head city of the canton of Liberia, in the province of Guanacaste and its located 210 kilometers from San Jose the capital of Costa Rica.
The official currency of Costa Rica is the Costa Rican colon, and it is identified with the symbol: "₡" or the ISO CRC code.
The international airport Daniel Oduber Quirós is also known as Aeropuerto Internacional de Liberia. Its located 13 kilometers west of the city of Liberia and 15 kilometers from the nearest area of tourist beaches.
The annual temperature in Guanacaste oscillates between 20 and 33 °C in the lower part, and between 10 and 23 °C in the upper part, with the Arenal area and the mountain range being the coldest.
How to arrive to Guanacaste?
There are different ways to get from San José to Guanacaste by bus, car, plane or shuttle.
By Bus it will take from 3:30hrs up to 5 hrs
