Why is SAGEEP 2021 and the 1^st Munitions Response Meeting moving to an online format?

This decision has been made in light of the continued global health concerns and the travel and quarantine restrictions which remain in most countries to contain the COVID-19 virus. The current situation still carries a great deal of risk and uncertainty for travel and an in-person gathering of our size.  SAGEEP2021 and the 1^st Munitions Response Meeting will therefore be held online in March 2021.

How do I access the online conference? 

All participants need to register to gain access to the online conference and presentations. You will receive unique credentials for accessing the portal to the conference prior to the event. 

What will I need in order to participate in the online conference?

A computer and internet access (ideally high speed). We will reach out to presenters separately with more details on the event set-up and recommendations for a successful presentation.

How can I register for SAGEEP2021 and the 1^st Munitions Response Meeting Online?

You can register online by visiting the Registration page at www.SAGEEP.org and clicking the link to the registration portal. Registration will open soon so keep an eye on our website.

I registered for SAGEEP2020 and the 1^st Munitions Response Meeting. Will my registration be transferred to the online 2021 conference? 

Your registration for the SAGEEP 2021 is automatically transferred and will remain valid for the online event. No further action is required from you.

What is included in the registration for SAGEEP 2021 Online?

The SAGEEP 2021 Online registration will offer you access to: 

• Technical Program Proceedings

• Pre-recorded presentations before and after the event

• 2020 Exhibitors catalogue listing with contact information as well as sponsors

• Networking opportunities with other delegates

What about short course fees?

Short course registrants for SAGEEP 2021/1^st Munitions Response Meeting will have their fees transferred to the short course offering of their choice at SAGEEP 2021 Online or in the future. Our goal is to maintain continuity to 2021 offerings but the course topics may vary. More information on short courses will follow soon.

I can’t attend SAGEEP 2021 and the 1^st Munitions Response Meeting. Can I transfer my registration fee to someone else in my company?

Organizers are excited about the program and opportunities they planned and hope that all those who registered can attend the online conference in 2021. In the event that this is not possible, a registration will be transferable to another person within the same company, organization or school. Authors presenting a paper or poster who are registered but cannot attend SAGEEP 2021 can transfer their registrations to a co-author, even if the co-author is from a different organization or company. Students who have graduated since registering for SAGEEP 2020 as a student can attend the meeting in 2021 with no additional charges.

Technical Program

Will accepted abstracts be transferred to the online conference in 2021?

Yes, all abstracts that were accepted for SAGEEP and the 1^st Munitions Response Meeting will remain approved for the online conference in 2021. Authors will also be given the opportunity to update their abstracts. An information email will follow in the coming days. No additional fees are necessary for existing approved abstracts.

I have conflicts and will not be able to present my talk/ poster during the online event. Can I withdraw my abstract?

SAGEEP 2021 and the 1^st Munitions Response Meeting will allow abstract withdrawals as needed for those who are unable to present. Abstract submission fees are non-refundable.

Will there be an opportunity to submit new abstracts?

Yes, this will be possible. A limited time only call for additional abstracts will be posted in the autumn of 2020.
