We have all had to find new ways of doing business, new ways of exploring the subsurface, new ways of communicating with our peers. I for one, like the Olympics branding “Olympics 2020ne”. It’s a clever statement intended to recognize this year while embracing optimism of the future.
EEGS and our partners are also optimistic about our futures. We invite you to join us this March for the online SAGEEP 2021 and the 1st Munitions Response Meeting. The online format for this joint conference will not only be a new experience for many of us, it will also afford a fantastic opportunity to achieve even greater participation by colleagues who may not have been able to attend in person. With the ability to provide attendees viewing access to all oral and poster presentations prior to the conference event itself, this format also allows for increased exposure for authors and the science they share without the same time constraints that one may experience with an in-person conference schedule. We aim to provide an unique, scientifically engaging, and social environment in which to connect in this unusual time. We want to hear what remarkable new approaches you’ve worked on, what experiences you’ve had, how the science of geophysics continues to grow to be increasingly relevant to our world, and to embrace the future of possibility in geophysics.
