Session Format
Sessions in the technical programme of the EAGE2020 Annual Conference Online will be organised according to the following format.
Session
- Each session will be scheduled for 55 minutes;
- Sessions will start with a stream of all pre-recorded summaries of the presentations in that session (max 32 minutes in total);
- The pre-recorded segments will be followed by a live Q&A/discussion (approximately 20 mins).
Additional information for presenters
As a speaker, you need to:
- Download the powerpoint template for your presentation;
- Pre-record your summary, video duration 3 - 4 minutes;
- Pre-record your presentation, video duration 15 - 20 minutes;
- Save both videos as mp4, HD recording in line with naming convention (see speaker instructions page in the section 'Pre-record your video presentation');
- Upload to your pre-recorded videos here by 5 November 2020 (CET) at the latest.
The pre-recorded presentation needs to be pre-recorded and uploaded by 5 November 2020 at the latest, it should be 15 - 20 minutes presentation time. These videos will be made available 1 week prior to the event and can be viewed if one is registered for the event. They can be viewed at any time as of then and as many times as one would like to.
The summary should be a re-cap of the pre-recorded presentation and may not be more than 4 minutes in total. The summaries of all presentations in the session will be shown at the start of the session.
During the session, presenters need to be available, online and in the session. The microphone/sound should be active, as speakers will participate in the Q&A part of the session. Please keep in mind that, as a speaker, any background noise will be picked up by your microphone.
The viewers (attendees) of the session can send questions via a chat function on their system. The session chairs will select the questions and forward them to the speakers, who will respond using their microphone.
