Virtual Platform How-To's

If you registered for the EAGE 2020 Annual Conference & Exhibition Online, you will have access to our Virtual Platform. On this page, we will break down the most frequently used features, to help with your online experience. 

Platform Overview

Below is what you will first see when you log in successfully to the virtual event platform - the Virtual Lobby. From here you can decide what to do next. Keep reading to see all of your options. 

Virtual Lobby

From the Virtual Lobby you can find the Live Sessions during the event days, our main sponsors, and the Networking Area. 

Live Sessions

On event days, make sure to click on the session you want to attend, join as a viewer and take part in all the Technical Programme Sessions, Community Activities, Exhibition Biztalks, Forum Sessions, Hot Topics Sessions, and more! 

Networking Area

On event days you will be able to see all participants that are online at the same time with you. Click on their name and send a message! 

Or connect with peers from a technical session, via the "People" tab on the right side. 

My Agenda

Here you can customise your entire week agenda, based on your interests. Select Technical Programme sessions, Community Activities, Forum Sessions, Hot Topic sessions, Exhibition Biztalks, and more. 

As a standard, when you first log in, all the activities are automatically added to your agenda. You can customise it by "Unpinning" activities.  

My Account

Here you can customise your profile. We recommend everyone to add a profile picture if possible, so that you can get a more personal feeling when networking with peers and colleagues. If any other personal information is missing or you would like to change it, click on "Edit" on the right side of the page to start modifying your details. 

If you would not like to be visible to other event attendees, please choose "No" in the "Visible to others" section at the bottom of this page. 

Presentations

From the "Presentations" tab you can go to all the pre-recorded presentations available. Select a day, a sessions and then a presentation to start watching. You can view the short summary of the presentation (Summary) or the full presentation (Presentation), or you can just read the written abstract. 

Click on one of the buttons and the videos will start playing at the top of the same page. 

Programme at a Glance

For a full overview of all the activities scheduled throughout the week, click on "At a Glance". Click on any of the sessions and you will automatically redirected to the right page. 

Exhibition

Explore the Online Exhibition booths! Click on any of the exhibitor profiles and you will be redirected to their booth, where you will be able to see their latest developments in products, services, and research. 

Once in the booth, have a look around, and if you want. engage with the exhibitors via the "Chat" function on the right or connect with them individually via the "People" tab. Under "Files" you will be able to find any material the exhibitors choose to share with all delegates. 

Support

On this page, you will be able to submit your questions in case you run into any troubles, and we will try our best to help you as quick as possible. Make sure you also have a look at this FAQ page. 

Bookshop

If you click on "Bookshop" in the navigation bar, you will be redirected to the EAGE bookshop webpage. If you want to purchase a new book for/after the conference, this is where you can get it!
