EAGE shares plans for 82nd Annual Conference & Exhibition 2021

The EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition announces its plan for 2021, focusing on the return of a live event at RAI Amsterdam this year.

The 82nd EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition plans to deliver a hybrid (physical and digital) event from 18 – 21 October 2021.

The EAGE Annual 2021 aims to help the industry and academia re-engage after a very challenging year.

With a deep sense of purpose and focus on being a catalyst, EAGE strives to come back from the pandemic and, as always, bring the “world’s largest most comprehensive geoscience & engineering” event to our attendees.

EAGE’s priority is to get back to doing business in a way that keeps everyone safe. We want to be transparent and fair with everyone, which is why we are making our plans for this year clear now. We are all mapping out the complexities of the global pandemic. While we are optimistic about the return of a live show this year, we are also realistic about the obstacles we still need to overcome and are closely keeping an eye on what will impact people’s ability and willingness to return to mass meetings. The fall-back option is to stage the event fully online.

The EAGE Annual has always been about bringing the industry together and so many people tell us how much they have missed live events, not just for the face-to-face conversations, but also those chance meetings in the coffee queue or waiting for the tram or a taxi.

In the current environment, the EAGE Annual 2021 will likely not be to the same scale as the 2019 event we hosted in London. We may anticipate a small drop in long haul travel. However, we believe there will still be a strong attendance from EAGE’s core audience. We are genuinely looking forward to seeing as many people as possible in Amsterdam and online this October.

Key features of the EAGE Annual 2021:

  • 200+ exhibitors, 16.000 square meter networking area
  • EAGE Forum Sessions focused on new topics & challenges the industry is dealing with nowadays. The sessions will also be broadcasted on the EAGE virtual event platform.
  • Dedicated seating areas and working spaces from where you can experience the hybrid online elements of the event
  • A new theatre in Hall 10, with innovative content streamed live to EAGE’s virtual platform

As part of a commitment to reaching a wider audience, those unable to travel to Amsterdam will be able to enjoy the best of the live show via EAGE’s virtual platform. This hybrid approach will create new opportunities to share insights and information to the global media and technology community online.

Our focus is on collaborating with our customers to achieve the best possible results by driving conversations and lead generation, through both a live and online event.

We have seen incredible optimism and support from our customers who like us are keen to get back to doing business. We already have over 200 stands and 16.000 sqm of space now booked across 2 halls. You can see all our exhibitors below.
