Operating in Loading Areas

If your teams are operating in loading areas, they should be aware of the movement of traffic and should wear hi-visibility clothing as a minimum. Where you are able to drive a vehicle within the event perimeter your driver should be made aware that pedestrians have right of way at all times and there will be speed restrictions in place.

Security

The restricted EAGE areas are only accessible with the correct accreditation. General daily and night security will be provided during build up, show days and break down opening hours. The ultimate responsibility of your booth and property lies with the individual exhibitor.

The organisers reserve the right to expel any person whose behavior or clothing is considered incompatible with the Event’s image or who refuses to comply with local safety regulations.

Our objective is to make your show experience as pleasant and worthwhile as possible. The cost of a few extra precautions is minimal compared to what you may have to pay to replace your stolen or lost items, and the hassles you would have to endure. Please help us ensure that we are all doing everything possible to prevent theft by following these simple security instructions:

  1. Obtain proper insurance coverage for your goods, including for the transit to and from the show site.
  2. Do not specify the product or manufacturer on the outside of freight cartons. Advertisement is an open invitation to theft. Mark cartons numerically to indicate the total being shipped. Include your company name and booth number on all cartons.
  3. As this is a large show, even large crates can disappear. Consider painting your crates a distinctive colour for easy recognition and be sure to label appropriately.
  4. Be sure to ship your exhibit materials in an appropriate type of sturdy container. Over-stuffed cardboard boxes have a tendency to get damaged in transit. Remove old shipping labels to avoid confusion on-site.
  5. Treat your valuable goods as irreplaceable. If they are one-of-a-kind, you should consider hiring your own security through the official security contractor. These types of materials should never be left unattended. DVD players, plasma screens, and laptops are particularly vulnerable to theft.
  6. The greatest risk of theft is during build up and break down. Stay with your display materials as much as possible and be especially alert during these times.
  7. At the close of each business day, secure your materials. Keep an inventory list of your display and check it each day.
  8. During break-down, do not leave your booth unattended. Stay with your exhibit until your empty crates are delivered and your exhibit materials are packed, sealed and properly labeled.
  9. Report any suspicious activity to the EAGE Exhibition Team.

All reasonable precautions will be taken. The exhibition halls are only accessible with valid accreditation. EAGE Conferences BV expressly declines responsibility for any loss or damage that may befall the person or property of any exhibitor from any cause whatsoever.
