Why is EAGE moving the Annual Conference & Exhibition?

The decision has been made in light of the continued global health concerns and the travel and quarantine restrictions which remain in most countries to contain the COVID-19 virus. The current situation still carries a great deal of risk and uncertainty for an international gathering of our size and it is thus with our delegates, sponsors, exhibitors and other partners in mind that we see it fit to postpone this meeting. 

We believe that the June 2021 move will provide us with a more sufficient timeline in which we can expect a shift towards safer large in-person gatherings and reduced uncertainty for international travel. This also gives our speakers, delegates, exhibitors and sponsors the opportunity to maximize the value and rich networking experiences associated with a physical event.

I booked my accommodation in Amsterdam via the RAI hotel services. What do I have to do now?

Registration

How can I register for the EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition 2021?

Registration for the Annual 2021 is not open yet. In due time, you will be able to register for the conference by visiting our Registration page and clicking the link to the registration portal. 

I registered for the 2020 event before the COVID-19 pandemic. Will my registration be transferred automatically? 

Your registration for the 82nd EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition 2020 is automatically transferred and will remain valid for next year (2021). Alternatively, you could opt to switch your registration for the Annual Conference Online 2020. 

I have applied for PACE support, are the registration fee waivers still applicable?

Yes, everyone who previously applied for PACE support will be considered for a registration fee waiver. Applicants will receive updated information on the outcome of the application in the near future. 

Exhibitors

What will happen to my booth vouchers if I have already registered?

Your booth vouchers (registrations that are included in your exhibition space) will remain valid for the EAGE Annual Exhibition 2021. 

What are the refund options for companies that do not wish to attend Annual 2021? 

In case you wish to cancel your contract for your booth, please reach out to exhibition@eage.org. The terms and conditions on the signed contract will apply. 

What will happen with the 83rd EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition in Madrid, Spain? 

The 83rd EAGE Annual will remain in Madrid, Spain but will be moved to June 2022. 

Will the 82nd EAGE Annual Conference & Exhibition be a hybrid event in June 2021?

Yes, the Annual 2021 will combine a "live" in-person component with a "virtual" online one, to offer the best experience all around.
