Dr Suvi Heinonen is working as a team manager in Geological Survey in Finland in the Geophysical Solutions unit. She received her PhD in 2013 about utilization of seismic reflection profiling for massive sulfide exploration. Beside seismic methods, her research interest include 3D-geomodelling in various different applications from groundwater resources to mineral system models.

Magdalena is PhD student at Uppsala University (Sweden) and her research deals with reflection seismic imaging and interpretation for deep targeting of mineral deposits. Her research focus is application of deep-learning algorithms for diffraction delineation and denoising in hard rock environment. Successful case studies cover iron-oxide deposits in Sweden and massive sulphides inCanada, some of which show clear diffraction signature suitable for deep-learning solutions.
